LUKE BRYAN'S MUSICAL CAREER
Born in Leesburg, Georgia on July 17th, 1976, American country music singer/songwriter Luke Bryan first came to prominence in 2007. In that year, Bryan's first album, I'll Stay Me, was released by Capitol Nashville. I'll Stay Me reached number two in the US Billboard Country Albums chart, and reached 24 in the US Billboard 200. Two songs from I'll Stay Me became country hit singles in America - All My Friends Say and Country Man, while another song, We Rode In Trucks, was a minor hit.
Bryan's second album, Doin' My Thing, which was released in the October of 2009, was even more successful than I'll Stay Me. Reaching number two in the Top Country Albums chart in the US, and number six in the US Billboard 200, the album also spawned Bryan's first US number one country singles, 'Rain is a Good Thing' and then 'Someone Else Calling You Baby'.
Another song from Doin' My Thing, 'Do I', reached number two on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. In 2011, Tailgates & Tanlines was released. Three songs from this album reached the top of the US country charts - Don't Want This Night to End, Drunk on You, and Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye.
Tailgates & Tanlines was also an album that saw Bryan make an impact other countries, including the UK, Canada and Australia. The 2013 album, and Bryan's fourth, Crash My Party, was most notable for having six songs become country number one singles. Both Tailgates & Tanlines and Crash My Party were number one country alums in the US.
2015 saw Bryan's fifth album, Kill the Lights, released. Both the album, and the first two singles from Kill the Lights - Kick the Dust Up and Strip It Down - reached the top spot in the US. Despite his success, Luke Bryan has certainly experienced life's ups and downs.
